CHILDREN'S OPPORTUNITY GROUP
It's All About the Children
what we do
Children's Opportunity Group keeps its membership to 50 women who still meet in each other's homes on a monthly basis. We still work to raise money in support of less fortunate children. Our annual luncheon is the main source of funds enabling us to reach out to Broward's youngest citizens. The tradition continues and the impact on recipient organizations is truly rewarding.
How it BEGAN
We began as Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a national social sorority. A small group of 25 women wanted to focus strictly on serving the needy children of Broward County and raised money for the community through luncheons and various fundraisers. In 1955, they decided to break away from Epsilon Sigma Alpha and give themselves a new name, Children's Opportunity Group or COG.
