The Children's Opportunity Group Endowed Teaching Chair was recently awarded to Dr. Savena Budhu Barajas by The Broward College Foundation earlier this summer.

Savena is an assistant professor in the English Department on Broward College's Central Campus.  Faculty members selected for this award receive $10,000, which may be used for professional development and enhancements to the learning environment, ultimately supporting student success.

It is our pleasure as an organization to support the professional and personal goals of those dedicated to community and the students served in premier academic programs through contributions to this endowment.

Savena was greatly appreciative for receiving this well-deserved honor.
